In a recent attempt to spice up language learning, I purchased some dvd’s with between 8 and 16 movies on each. The quality is extremely low but the price was right. I set the audio to the language I am learning and set the subtitles to English. Most of the movies are about snakes, dinosaurs, dragons, or giant lizards.
I may not have gleaned much language from the movies, but I have learned some valuable lessons. They are as follows:
1. Never trust anyone who does research on reptiles. They are inevitably trying to take over the world.
2. It is a good idea to be a reptile researcher as said researchers are the last person that mutant reptiles kill.
3. Mutant reptiles are bullet proof.
4. Cobra venom can and will melt your face.
5. Never ever move to a remote island.
6. Cobras and Komodo dragons are an even match in a fight to the death.
7. Mutant reptiles cannot be contained in any type of cage or aquarium.
8. The answer to the question, “What was that noise?” is: Mutant reptile.
9. Giant Mutant snakes roar like tigers.
10. Flashlight batteries are imminently unreliable.
11. Mutant reptiles see in slow motion.
12. Mutant reptiles are full of icky goo.
13. Going for help alone is always a bad idea.
14. If the forest goes quiet there is a mutant reptile near.
15. If confronted with a mutant reptile if you close your eyes, stand completely still, and are the leading female in the movie something will fall on the mutant reptile and kill it.
? of the day for mutant reptile triple feature, what have you learned from watching cheesy movies?

If you suspect a serial killer is in your house:
1.) Never enter alone - especially if you are female
2.) Always turn on the lights - for some reason they help you to see...
3.) The frying pan, fireplace instrument, baseball bat, etc. in your hands will probably not be effective against the intruder unless you are an ex-special forces soldier, rogue cop, or karate expert. The most effective weapon, if you are female is to scream, and your hero will crash through the door and rescue you. :)
Speaking of karate experts - apparently you can never engage someone in a fight unless in a room full of glass - there must be plenty of windows to kick people through or tables to shatter.
(apparently, I have seen entirely too many cheesy movies)
I rarely watch good movies, much less cheesy ones. Recon thoes would keep me awake? MOM
P.S. Word of wisdom: if you ever think you are going to come in contact with these monsters, dress like a girl! (a pretty girl)
If you are running from a scary monster always, always watch where you are going. If you continue to run with your head turned back looking to see where the scary monster is, you will fall over something and twist your ankle so you can't run
